Pilot Chutes

Pilot chutes are made of advanced zero porosity fabric, which offer the properties of zero-p, yet is less slippery. This helps reduce the chance of slippage from the pilot chute pouch.
Pilot chutes come in five sizes. (32", 36", 38", 42” and 46”) These pilot chutes come standard constructed with high-drag large mesh. This has been proven to allow faster inflation at low airspeeds. The 32" and 36" pilot chutess are constructed with Marquisette (small hole) mesh. Both types of pilot chutes have eight reinforcing load tapes. This helps to eliminate distortion during deployment and gives it longer durability. The 36” – 46” pilot chutes come standard with a custom colored Cordura-lined foam disc. The 32” comes standard with a lightweight Wiffle ball for easy grasping. Either option can be interchanged on pilot chute sizes to meet individual needs.
We offer vented pilot chutes in 36" through 42". The venting consists of a circular ring of mesh around the apex of the above sized pilot chutes. This can reduce the oscillation that can occur from a vigorous pilot chute pitch. It can also be beneficial in dampening the affects of a cross wind pilot chute deployment on longer delays.
